Version 11 is out now, and this release is designed around helping you plan publisher meetings and whether to expect feedback.

Our publisher directory has been updated with support for a number of conventions around the world and whether the publisher is attending. With attendance data make sure you reach out to organise a meeting.

This release includes:

  • Publisher convention attendance
  • Publisher feedback expectations
  • Better session views

Publisher Convention Attendance

The pitch2table publisher directory contains over 500 different publishers (and continues to grow). We’ve expanded our existing filters to include which conventions the publisher has attended. This data is updated monthly.

You can get to these lists in a few ways. You can see it on the convention page where there is a link that takes you to the publisher page with the filter applied.

Events that have publisher attendance recorded

This is a shorthand for going to the publishers and filtering by specific conventions. The publishers tab lets you filter by multiple conditions including publisher attendance across multiple conventions.

Publisher convention attendance is a premium feature and is available on both web and mobile.

Publisher Feedback

Getting feedback from publishers is vital for correcting our approach and ensuring we reach out to the publishers who have the best alignment. Some publishers have too many submissions to give meaningful feedback to every submission.

We feel pitch2table can help here around setting expectations around whether you’re likely to receive feedback. We will do this by asking you a question when you move a submission to Declined. That question is whether you received meaningful feedback. It’s optional.

We will start aggregating this data and displaying something like: “Other designers have reported getting meaningful feedback from this publisher” or “Responds, does not provide feedback”.

We are still in the data collection phase at the moment so you won’t see notices until we have enough data from enough different designers to make these kind of observations.

Publisher feedback is available on both web and mobile for all users including the Forever Free plan.

Better Session Views

This one is for the travelling designer. With any booked session there a number of different timezones to consider:

  • Where the designer lives
  • Where the publisher is
  • Where the event is being held
  • Where the designer is when looking at the session (they could be in an airport checking when an event is)

For the most part we track all of these timezones and we do so in a way we can handle daylight savings too! With this release we have changed how we are displaying a planned pitch session at a convention.

Imagine I have a session at 11am at GenCon with a publisher. We now show the session in the timezone of the event rather than the timezone of where you are now. This is important for travellers as when you’re at the event that’s the only Timezone that matters.

You’ll see we’ve added the publisher in the list too. This will help when you’ve got multiple pitch sessions booked.

Once you open up that session you can see the other timezones. Including any notices like daylight savings changes between now and the event.

Improved sessions is available on both web and mobile for all users including the Forever Free plan.

As with all releases, Version 11 is available now.
