The pitch2table mobile app allows premium users to sync their account to a Apple or Google Calendar. Once you have done this any events (conventions, pitch events, etc) and sessions (play test, demo, pitching) will show up in your calendar. This is most useful when the organisers of the event don’t provide calendar events.
When working with co-designers, if either of you add an event then it’ll show up in both your calendars. If you add a session then only the creator will get the session. This is because events are shared by default but sessions are not. It’s normal for a pitch session to cover multiple games some of which your co-designer may not have visibility of.
The instructions are different for Apple Calendar and Google Calendar, so follow the correct instructions below.
How to setup on Apple Calendar
In the Pitch2Table mobile app
Open the app and select the “calendar tab” at the bottom right of the screen.
In the header, next to “My Events” is a calendar icon. Tap this to open the Calendar Sync screen.
Copy the calendar url by pressing the copy button next to it. Protect this url as it’s available to anyone who has it. While it doesn’t provide them access to your pitch2table account it does share information about who you’re meeting with and when. Password-protected calendar URLs are not supported by Apple or Google.
In the Apple Calendar App
Open the Apple Calendar app and tap the calendar icon in the bottom right. This opens up the Calendars modal.
Scroll to the bottom and click “Add Calendar”. This opens a menu.
Tap the “Add Subscription Calendar” menu option. This opens up a another modal where you can paste the Subscription URL from the pitch2table app.
Once you have linked a calendar you can then change the colour of it and rename it. Calling it Pitch2Table will help you remember where it came from.
How to setup on Google Calendar
You will need to complete some of these steps in the Google Calendar web application and some of them in the Google Calendar app. Google doesn’t support all steps in the mobile application yet.

Go to https://calendar.google.com
Click the + button next to “Other Calendars”
Then select “From URL” and paste your URL in
On your Google Calendar App on your phone
There are slight differences here between the Google Calendar app for iOS and Android. iOS for instance doesn’t have the “Sync” button while on Android the calendars can get imported with Sync off by default.
- Open up the side menu
- Select settings
- Select the calendar you imported
- Tap “Sync” so that it updates when you update pitch2table.
- Make sure the calendar is listed to be displayed in your app.
In these quick 812 steps your calendar is setup to synchronise from pitch2table. We wish it could be cleaner and quicker but each of the different calendar apps have their own quirks that we can’t change.
The frequency at which the synchronisation is entirely dependent on Apple and Google but from our experience it’s several times a day.
Calendar sync is a premium feature and is available in the mobile app on both iOS and Android.
